Misty Morning (Oregon: Waterfalls and Whispers)
The Psalmist Says..."Day to day pours forth speech." Psalm 19:2
And ask, if i may,
"What does the salty air say to you?
The craggy rocks, and endless sea?
The trees, arms lifted high?"
Two writer's answers:
"The sea produces something over and over in a hoarse whisper. I cannot quite make it out."
~Annie Dillard
When anxious, uneasy, and bad thoughts come I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused. ~Rainer Maria Rilke

Oh Terry. What a beautiful photograph. And I can relate so well to what your writers answered. It sure is nice to have your style of creative sweeping across on my computer screen again.
ReplyDeleteThanks Harold. It's fun to be back.
ReplyDeleteAir, water and salt are 3 of the things we can't live without. That's why I am drawn to it. It refreshes, restores and reminds me of where we come from and where we will be.
ReplyDeleteGreat observation Marsha. Refreshes, restore, and reminds.....such good words too.
